Rally Notes Going Into Day 8

Madison’s square is going to rock today. Plenty of employees have a furlough day, plus teachers & students will be out of school. There’s a chance of some freezing rain this morning, but I don’t think crummy weather is going to keep anyone away because there’s too much star power coming: At Noon and 5PM rallies:  Tom Morello, Wayne Kramer of the MC5, Street Dogs featuring Mike McColgan.

Tom Morello’s who I really want to see:

“Exclusive Interview” George Stephanopoulos will interview Scott Walker today on Good Morning America and you can ask him your questions right HERE.

Sun Times did a dull article about the Wisconsin pro worker rallies. But I did get a kick out of this: Scott Walker is summed up as “a college dropout and Eagle Scout” Chicago Sun Times

School is out again today in Madison. Teachers will go back to work tomorrow, Tuesday. Mary Bell, President of WEAC, asked teachers to go to work sooner. But teachers opted to return one day later. from W.S Journal

Looks like a warm outfit for winter.

Pizza from Egypt. When people ask how they can help, I’ve said send pizza to students in the Capitol. I think a lot of people are saying that because at Ian’s Pizza citizens of twelve countries and thirty-eight states have ordered pizza for donation to protesters.

Egypt did send some pizza, by the way.

Food and Lodging . How to help give the basics to protesters? See The Political Carnival

Krugman says that Scott Walker wants a third-world-style oligarchy: “You don’t have to love unions, you don’t have to believe that their policy positions are always right, to recognize that they’re among the few influential players in our political system representing the interests of middle- and working-class Americans, as opposed to the wealthy.” – Paul Krugman, New York Times- Wisconsin Power Play
