Trigger warning: violence, fire
According to a WSJ article, Andrew Spear allegedly poured gasoline on Mary Spear and then lit it with a lighter. Following the fire which coursed over Mary’s legs and arms, Andrew Spear put out the flames he had ignited and said to her, according to the criminal complaint, “You’re gonna die in here and nobody will never know,” and “They’ll never find your body.”
Spear is charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide, three counts of misdemeanor battery, two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of false imprisonment. The event allegedly took place on Aug. 16 at a storage locker on 1106 O’Neill Ave on the East side of Madison
From the same WSJ article: “Mary Spear, the chief legal counsel for DHS, told police that Smith is a longtime friend. According to the complaint, she denied the affair to her husband but later told him that she loved Smith and was sorry she had lied to him.”
