Scott Walker, “is expanding the attack on smokers using the exact same methods that Comrade Doyle used”

Times they are a changin’.

A Wisconsin Tea Party blog has proclaimed Scott Walker a “traitor” of their movement.

It’s not Walker’s corporate welfare that’s made them refuse his “Unintimidated” brand of kool-aid nor is it the John Doe investigation nor is it the business trip to China nor is it his suppression of free speech and the right to assemble.

Can you believe it’s the cigarettes?

Walker has backed down from a 2010 campaign promise to ban the Wisconsin workplace smoking ban.

“Mr Walker not only reneged on that promise, it appears that he is expanding the attack on smokers using the exact same methods that Comrade Doyle used to enact the ban. The state budget.”

They say Walker (who is called “Mr. Walker” throughout the post instead of “Governor Walker”) has a “multi-pronged attack on smokers in the budget”.

They posit that perhaps Tonette Walker’s position in the development department of the American Lung Association has something to do with his change of heart.

Big tip ‘o’ the hat to DownStateDemocrat for finding this one.

Footnote: I’ve had a strong urge to smoke lately! I think it was seeing all that tobacco being offered in ceremony in Red Cliff. It’s decided: I’m getting some clove cigarettes so I can take a few celebratory drags in honor of my new far right brothers and sisters in the Despise Scott Walker Club!

  1. LOL Won’t be drinking your Kool-Aid either. I am the author of that piece. I am a TEA Party libertarian and am against nanny statism in all it’s forms. John Doe investigation? False flag since it is he that started the investigation. Corporate welfare? yet another false flag. We have one of the highest corporate taxes and worst regulatory climates in the state. Care to comment on the indoctrination that is taking place in our schools?
