Well THAT escalated quickly. Jason Richwine has resigned from the Heritage Foundation.
Here’s the low-down on Jason Richwine:
He’s a white supremacist who made it into the hallowed hallows of Harvard and later those of the Heritage Foundation. He’s been working to discredit the Wisconsin Retirement System – quite the task since in reality WRS is the nation’s most well-funded and reliably protected and managed pension fund.
Richwine’s whiter-than-thou leanings were tucked into a PhD thesis he wrote which got exposed by By Dylan Matthews of Washington Post on May 8th.
Then Garance Franke-Ruta of Atlantic.com wrote about Richwine’s various other racist writings on May 9th. Franke-Ruta put particular focus on a book review Richwine penned on Richard E. Nisbett’s book Intelligence and How to Get It.
Then more of the Wisconsin set took notice on Friday when Paul Sickel wrote a headline that is catnip for the dairy state: “WEDC and a White Supremacist-tied Writer Threaten Wisconsin Retirees”
And already Richwine has resigned. Just like that.
I betcha he’ll emerge again to bedevil Wisconsin in another capacity, though certainly not as high up in the right-wing food chain as The Heritage Foundation.
Perhaps he’ll move to New Berlin, Wisconsin to be closer to friends. Or does he live there already?

This is the damning sentence contained in the PhD thesis of the “White Supremacist-tied writer”:
“The average IQ of immigrants in the United States is substantially lower than that of the white native population.”
“Jason Richwine’s Racial Theories Are Nothing New”
Here’s just one disturbing paragraph from the text that Franke-Ruta pulled from a review that Richwine did on Richard E. Nisbett’s book Intelligence and How to Get It
“By de-emphasizing the role of nature in determining intelligence, Nisbett tries to reduce IQ to little more than an achievement measure. Achievement can be raised by better textbooks, better teachers, better home environments. No need to worry too much about biology, Nisbett is telling his readers. There is no need to face up to deep-seated individual and group differences in abilities, and to what implications they might have for a democratic society.”
Here’s a link to all of Richwine’s publications at the Heritage Foundation.
Get in there while you can if you’re interested. I’m sure they’ll be scrubbed momentarily.
Since we were on the topic of Wisconsin and the Heritage Foundation:
Heritage Foundation, you may remember, is where Dennis Smith came from – Wisconsin’s former head of HHS. Heritage Foundation is where Dennis Smith worked when he wrote a paper that declared we should destroy Medicaid. Lo and behold, Scott Walker rejected expanded Medicaid from Obamacare. You may also remember that Dennis Smith is the guy who had an affair with his high school sweetheart and then disappeared to D.C. after a criminal case got filed against his sweetie’s husband – who is alleged to have attempted to kill her over the affair with Dennis.
Jeff Simpson wrote about that over here.
Here’s Dennis Smith’s Medicaid paper, “Medicaid Meltdown: Dropping Medicaid Could Save States $1 Trillion”
