“The faux Bucky spotted at the Capitol with the solidarity singers looks decidedly different, like Bucky with a hangover”

Oh noz.

Look at this story:
Knockoff Bucky Badger has UW officials seeing red

I realize that the knock-off Bucky costume wasn’t official – – that was part of the joke of it, UW attorneys – – but this description in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel is a little HARSH:

“The faux Bucky spotted at the Capitol with the solidarity singers looks decidedly different, like Bucky with a hangover. Its head is more puffy, the coloring is off and the sweater is sloppy. Its nose looks more rounded and the badger markings look painted on. Plus, the real Bucky Badger wears red and white sneakers; the bogus Bucky looks like he has squirrel feet.”

Really?
The reporter knows what squirrel feet look like?
And a “hangover”?

Here’s a photo I took:

I thought he looked appealingly homemade and therefore vintage, but clearly badger beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

The article also says the UW got some calls about this.
Did anybody call the UW when this happened? During that – -you know – -that UPRISING thing of 2011?:
