I’m awfully late to putting something on the blog about this but so rarely do I have good news to share – better late than never.
From The Progressive,
“DA Ozanne declined to prosecute any of the charges leveled against Terrell by the Capitol Police: felony battery of a police officer and misdemeanor resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Ozanne said that after a thorough review of the evidence, there was not enough to meet the burden of proof required to make the charges stick in court.”
If the D.A. had dared charge Damon Terrell after what those cops did to him, I would personally hand out pitchforks and torches on Carroll Street.
There were never going to be charges against him.
In case you’re one of the 5 or so people who missed the video, watch that and you’ll understand my assertion.
And there’s this:
“Damon Terrell will be pursuing a civil rights action against the police officers involved with his arrest and the Capitol Police department itself.”
