That Russell Brand video

“The planet is being destroyed, we are creating an underclass, we’re exploiting poor people all over the world, and the genuine legitimate problems of the people are not being addressed by our political class.”

Has every human being seen this video yet?

If you have seen it but haven’t read Russell Brand’s essay in New Statesman, then go jump on that:
“We no longer have the luxury of tradition”

We could pick Brand apart over what “revolution” means. Would it be like the American, the French, the Russian, or the Haitian revolution?

We could chide him about not voting – – especially for our more democratic local elections.

But he is right about this:
“…only systems that serve the planet and serve the population of the planet can be allowed to survive. Not ones that serve elites, be they political or corporate elites, and this is what’s currently happening.”

THAT’s golden.

If you’d like to read what’s said in the video, Corrente has the full transcript.
