“Sweeping” Supreme Court ruling could force right to work on every U.S. public sector worker warns Ben Sachs

My time for blogging is all used up at the moment so I will simply direct you to Josh Eidelson’s interview of Harvard Law School professor Benjamin Sachs in the post, Scalia’s golden chance to kill unions.

Take a look at this comment from Sachs:
“This is not just a kind of labor law, labor union issue. Public sector unions are incredibly important to our politics. They are a primary supporter of the Democratic Party. If you make unconstitutional the dues arrangements in the public sector, you’re really going to — I don’t want to say “cripple,” but hinder dramatically the ability of unions to participate as vibrant political actors.”

Yes. It is sad to watch everything sink.
