NOKXL Pipeline Civil Disobedience Training
12:00 Noon – 5:00 pm Arboretum Cohousing (1137 Erin St.)
NOKXL Pipeline Civil Disobedience Training! Obama is expected to decide whether to approve the Keystone XL pipeline by early summer. So, we have decided to hold *one more* civil disobedience training to prepare for a local action to stop the pipeline (more info: nokxl.org/pledge). To participate in the Madison action, you *must* be trained. This will be our fifth (and almost certainly final) training. At the training, we’ll give an overview of the pipeline and our strategy to defeat it, learn the basics of civil disobedience, talk about legal matters, and prepare to take action together in Madison. The training is free, and snacks will be provided. RSVP here: www.PledgeTraining.eventzilla.net
Mideast by Midwest 9:00 pm Bandung Indonesian Restaurant (600 Williamson St.)
Performance by the band Mideast by Midwest, incorporating a selection of May Day and labor-related songs. Celebrate international workers rights day with some dancing and solidarity! Free.
