Video of Russ Decker on the day he joined the union: “That was a time that changed my whole life”

This video was uploaded September of 2008 to YouTube. Here Russ Decker seems very proud of his union membership. He recalls the first day he was in the Bricklayer’s Local 6: April 4, 1977.

“That was a time that changed my whole life where I finally got healthcare benefits, and retirement benefits, and wages that were supportive of me being able to support my family so I think that was a milestone in my own personal experience and personal working career.”
